The ‘world’s longest urban zipline’ in Dubai Marina is now open to the public

If you’re a bit of an adrenaline junkie, you’ll be glad to hear that the newly announced zipline in the Dubai Marina is now open.

The zipline is brought to you by XDubai, the same crew behind the zipline over the Dubai Fountain in 2015.

Check out this video of HH Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai zipping across the Dubai Marina:

The attraction has been dubbed as the ‘world’s longest urban zipline’, and costs Dhs650 per person or Dhs1,200 for two people.

Called the ‘XLine’, the zipline is actually two lines running adjacent to each other, and features a superman harness, allowing thrillseekers to ride with their chest to the ground as they fly from one of the Amwaj towers in JBR down to the terrace of Dubai Marina Mall.

Oh, and it’s got an average speed of 80 kilometres per hour.

“We wouldn’t be XDubai if we didn’t push the limits of what is possible,” said Mohammed Javad, XDubai’s General Manager.

“Following the success of the first XLine, we wanted to step it up more than a notch and importantly, give both residents and visitors to Dubai the opportunity to have a true-to-form XDubai experience.”

XLine, Sunday to Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 7pm. Tickets available from PlatinumList.
