The Brit arrested for touching a man’s hip has told his side of the story in a TV interview

International eyes have been on the UAE since a Scottish man was arrested over an incident at a Dubai bar this summer.

Electrician Jamie Harron was on a two-day stopover in Dubai when the incident took place at a bar.

Harron claims he used his hand to gently coax someone out of the way in a crowded venue to get back to his table.

However, it seems Harron’s little gesture didn’t go down too well with the man involved, who proceeded to call the police and have him arrested.

Harron was initially jailed for three months, before an order straight from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai stepped in to call for his release.

Now back in the UK, Harron has featured in an interview on popular breakfast show This Morning to tell his side of the story.
