The crew of this Turkish Airlines flight helped to deliver a baby mid-trip

The crew of Turkish Airlines flight TK538 were required to call upon their training last week when a passenger began experiencing birth contractions halfway through a flight.

Passenger Nafi Diaby eventually gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Kadiju, while 12,800 meters up in the air.

“The cabin crew noticed that a woman passenger named Nafi Diaby, 28 weeks into her pregnancy, was suffering childbirth pains,” Turkish Airlines said to the BBC.

The delivery took place halfway through a flight from Guinea to Burkina Faso.
